In the latter stages of the debate last night, Joe Biden looked earnestly at the cameras and told us that his whole being is shaped by his Catholic faith. Giving those less fortunate a helping hand drives his existence. He also said that he believes life begins at conception but he will not impose his views on others.

- during the period 1998 to 2008, Joe gave between $120 and $400 a year to charity......with the exception of 2007 when he was running for President and really dug deep to the tune of about $900. On average, about one thousandth of his income per year.

- Joe believes that a life has been created at conception but he will do nothing to prevent others from ending that life.

To quote joe from last night "Stop talking about how you care about something. Show me something."

Precisely Joe. Precisely.

Every year, congress discloses each individual members net worth and Joe is almost last or close to last, the guy is broke and spends all his money on his train rides to back to Delaware each weekend.

It's understandable that poor, broke Joe runs back to DE every week. After all, he has a $3 million dollar mansion waiting for him back there......and he probably wants to check on the lovely little cottage on his estate that he rents out to the Secret Service for $12,000 a year.

Ryan would have shut down Biden's entire schtick last night if he had thought of asking Biden the first time he laughed "You think Benghazi (or Iran or the economy), or facts about them, is funny?" Even Obama-loving CNN pegged the moderator (whose wedding Obama attended) as the "third debater" because of her obvious support and facilitation of Biden.

A member of the American Taliban faults Joe Biden for his statement's last night, saying:

Quote:
Joe Biden looked earnestly at the cameras and told us that his whole being is shaped by his Catholic faith. Giving those less fortunate a helping hand drives his existence. He also said that he believes life begins at conception but he will not impose his views on others.

Now perhaps those born in England, which has an official religion, don't understand the Constitution, which expressly forbids religious qualifications for holding office, and erects a wall against discrimination in the first amendment. But I am certain that Jesus did not deputize them as the abortion police when he said "judge not lest ye be judged", and "let he who is without sin cast the first stone."

It is absolutely appropriate to let your faith--however mainstream or whacky-- help you determine who you will support politically. It is another thing to make the expression of faith in politics a qualification. But maybe reading the Constitution for content is beyond some.

The Veep debate aint gonna decide anything, they never do...BUT, elections are won or lost because of turnout, and I loved old Joe last night. So, for Democrats it was a success as opposed to the no-show from Obama last week. If Obama is a no-show next week, then I think we are looking at Thurston and Doogie until Jan 2017.

Aside from his clear hypocrisy, Joe B.........who, at best, had a debating draw against the "stupidest woman on earth" in 2008 and against a rookie congressman last night...... could be President tomorrow morning, or at any time over the next four years if BHO prevails in November. Is it any wonder that Putin and Chavez have voiced their support for an Obama/ Biden victory?

This is so funny. Mrgybe describes Joe Biden as a hypocrite--in comparison to Paul Ryan? Paul Ryan, scion of a family that purports to be libertarian--but has made a fortune in government paving contracts? The non-politician sent into politics by the family as soon as he finished college to ensure political access to keep the contracts coming? The man who publicly criticized health care reform and the stimulus--and then sought funds for both for his constituents? The man who prepared a budget that Romney is running rapidly away from? A budget that was hyped on the context of restoring fiscal sanity to America--but really featured more massive tax cuts for the richest American's? That hypocrite?

Tally ho. Perhaps your next effort will be to end education for women, after all, they keep resisting your efforts to entrust you and your reactionary friends with control over their reproductive systems.
