Let's face today’s forecast was a bust. Everything was look'n up when the boss said no go for me to Boston. - WhaWha

The wind died - Whawha

Morebeacdotcom mike stood me up - WhaWha

Maybe I should have gone SUP'n with OC and the rest of the crew - WhaWha.

Only caught 2 waves the old fashion way, out at the paddle bowl - WhaWah

When OC and the Boys called it quits I moved on down to the surfing crowd. 2 out of 6 guys where showing me that they could kick my a$$ surfing with both hands tied behind their backs. -WhaWha

I just don't have the courage to ride a chest high barrels knowing the water is only shin deep right in front of you. - WhaWah

Then I figured out the puzzle. On the north edge of the bar the waves would hand grenade themselves but reform as they traveled back over chest deep water. Usually the 3rd and sometimes the second carried even more power as the bar was covered over by the previous wave(s). I ended up getting a ton of nice long board style rides right to near dark. A quick trip up to the car, and no suit doffing (is that the word??) and it was 4:45. I couldn’t believe it, 5 or 6 guys were still at it!!! I found my own way and had a great time. Lemonaide all the way - grade A

Ron, we'll assume the bust was not your fault Smile

We may be back Monday and/or Tuesday, if the forecast holds up. With WSW wind, I'm thinking about sailing from First Encounter across to the sand bar at the tip of the harbor for some speed runs. Have you ever sailed over there?

I’ve never done that crossing. Maybe in warm weather you, Nina, me and others can give it a go.

A few weeks ago I characterized my day after sailing condition as being “jack-hammered”. After yesterday’s impromptu surfing session, freighttrained was the state today.

After lying low, I’m already thinking that a late lunch break of sailing 2 to 3 tomorrow is not impossible.

Well, the wind meter readings looks really nice. But since temperatures never made it above 32, I think working may have been the smarter thing to do today. I was actually glad that the tides were not perfect for a noon session today, otherwise we might have gone out and frozen our noses off in with a wind chill below 20F.

Keeping our eyes out for the Sunday/Monday - balmy temps in the upper 40s and nice wind in the models, almost too good to be true. Have not quite given up on tomorrow yet. Did you ever sail in Wellfleet Harbor near Indian Neck Beach? On Google Earth, the inner harbor looks like might be a nice, flat, and safe playground now.

We missed you today, Ron! Had a great 90 min session, although Nina wanted a bit more wind. I love Skaket, such a beautiful place. Used your glove/mitt shell idea, worked great (after getting used to it). Was warm the whole time!

Work tomorrow, though (most likely at least). Maybe Sunday will be a repeat of last Wednesday in West Dennis, which was just great.

Great news!! I love the company.

And you got mitts - they are a little goofy, but seem to be a workable compromise for me.
