You know mat-ty, you could invest in a good dictionary. I keep mine handy at arms reach when working on the computer. It's an invaluable tool.

A New York Times/CBS poll released Thursday shows that only 32 percent of Republican voters believe Obama was born in the United States. The numbers are even worse in Iowa, a hugely important state in the primaries. There, a Public Policy Polling survey recently found that only 26 percent of Republicans believe that the president was born in this country; 48 percent say he wasn’t, and the remaining 26 percent aren’t sure.......

......For even moderately serious conservatives, this is a problem, because they know it makes their movement look nuts. “Within our party, we’ve got to be very careful about allowing these people who are the birthers and the 9/11-deniers to get too high a profile and say too much without setting the record straight,” Karl Rove told Fox News earlier this year.
Increasingly, conservatives are trying to replace one conspiracy theory with another, accusing liberals of spreading birtherism in order to discredit their ideological foes. “ Daily Beast

If Obama were more interested in making his country run smoothly than in running for reelection, he's show his birth certificate so the birthers would quit wasting time on this. Instead, he's enjoying this game he's playing at the expense of national productivity. He's milking his "Great Divider" role to the hilt despite its harm to the nation.

AP ....In the latest New York Times-CBS News poll, 45 percent of adult Republicans said they believe Obama was born in another country, and 22 percent said they don't know. One-third of Republicans said they believe the president is native born.
The same poll a year ago found considerably less suspicion among Republicans. A plurality of GOP adults then said Obama was U.S.-born, and 32 percent said they believed he was foreign-born.'

No persons birth records have been so entirely examined as Os by every major news agency and conservative organization, the majority very hostile and ready to bend the truth if possible. In spite of that even far gone extremists like Bachman joined Palin, McCain,Rove, every single GOP leader in agreeing the proof was overwhelming.
Birth certificate easy to fake.Birth announcement in the paper at the time, put there by the Dept. of Public Births needs a time machine to fake.
But absolutely no doubt is not enough for the lobbyists parrots who want always another document -or maybe it is the Dems spreading birther rumors-or maybe aliens. The huge divide this 100 million dollar lie campaign is causing is surely the fault of this mild mannered President smiling and shaking his head when he hears such stupidness screamed at him.

It takes huge effort to make all these conservatives believe in a fairy tale and shows the power of the Talk Radio- Tea Party to make asses of so many conservatives at one time. Someone for sure has spent A LOT of money dividing and harming the nation. They should be in jail.

So has every TR host and Fox News talking head I've seen or heard since the question came up. But apparently Bachman just found out this week about the Certificate of Live Birth everyone else has known about since 2007. Where's she been? [update after reviewing the tape again: She didn't just recently learn about it; she's saying the whole issue should be settled by the state -- "that should settle it" -- not by politicians or news anchors.]

But calling her a "far gone extremist" reveals the Far Right position you so often deny, KC; she's a mainstream right winger, plain and simple, from what I've seen. Smaller government, lower taxes, strong defense, capitalist, experienced PhD tax lawyer, probably against rampant abortions (I don't know) ... how is any of that extremism to normal people?

I'm loving the Jersey Shoring of the Republican Party. Its becoming an absolute joke supported by Trump in one corner, Beck, Rush, and Palin et al in the others. Trying to stuff Obama into the package they've constructed is a monumental task that requires a major suspension of belief. Pretty impressive!

Talk about offshore, Jersey shore, or just plain moonbeam, this commentary on Ryan's budget is pretty pithy: http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0411/52929.html
