Employees? Hmm... nope. How about the employees chose their own representative - minus exec decision.

They do..........a large portion of "corporate" contributions are, in fact, from PACs. The employees contribute to the PAC and designate the specific candidate to whom they wish the funds to go...........nothing to do with execs. Union members, however, have no voice in the the use of their dues.

I'm thinking that the above comment is quite a stretch. Where's the facts and data to support it?

Having worked for one of those large corporations in the Health Insurance industry I can tell you that there was considerable PAC influence via company wide email and intranet advising us who we should vote for with the idea being what was good for the company was also good for the employees. That same company recently off-shored much of it's accounting and finance departments to India.

Medical payments for illegal aliens have already topped $35M and are suspected of being FAR greater ... in just one state: MA.

And effectively letting illegal aliens VOTE (no ID check allowed in AZ)?

How about the actual data for this forum's least favorite company?

Regarding companies attempting to pressure employees to contribute to favored candidates.........that is illegal in most states.

That may be MrGybe but the word "pressure" is not the one I used. I said "influence" but I could have said "suggest" or "persuade" or "convince". Of course they can't say "vote for this guy or you'll lose your job", you know they're smarter than that. Wink

That's almost as bad as VA disability payments for someone who shreds the gorge thousands of hours a season...
