Yeah. Gybe is right, this is not a freedom of speech issue , anymore than Don Imus' natty dread rap about Rutgers girls hoops. I cant even breath too loud at my job, or Id be on the street. SouthPArk and Fox News pride themselves on shock value, NPR not so much. |

A TR host was interviewing an NAACP spokesman just now.
NAACP: "Juan shouldn't be expressing opinions."
TR: "But XM Radio leftie attack dog Mark Thompson said Juan is nothing but a Negro apologist."
NAACP: "Well, that's his opinion, and he has every right to express it."
Even more stunning was that the TR host didn't catch that and jump all over it. |

This could not have happened at a worse time for the dems, its these types of incidents, that expose the far left, and show the nation what intolerant hypocrites the far left are!!
THANK YOU , NATIONAL PROGRESSIVE RADIO. |

Soros is a legend. 31% IRR for 40 years! that is insane! Go ahead and demonize him. Escape the Holocaust, move to America, start Hedge Fund, make 10 Billion by avergaging 31% a year. Hero in my book. He put his money where he wanted to in 2006-2008, he hasnt been involved this year. The Koch family has put 10X the money into politics than Soros. Oh yeah, he also gives away hundreds of millions of dollars to needy world starvation, poverty causes. |

I fly frequently and I must say I share Juan Williams concern, I am even more worried when I see young middle eastern men dressed in western attire. IMO he should not have been punished for saying publicly what a lot of us feel. Sadly, political correctness applies to corporate life, as others on this post have stated, as well as public life. One can no more say "towelhead" in a conference room at work than they can on a news program. Not that Juan Williams used that term but the implication was clear.

Not that clear; it hadn't even occurred to me, and I've not seen one pundit suggest that implication. It implies a religion-wide slur which Juan did not mean.
OTOH, do the radical Islamic wackos I've been alarmed about for 40 years deserve the term? Of course, just like many extremists earn their slurs. |

The bigger question is why anyone with any honesty would accept a check from Fox news. _________________ /w\ |

I'm sorry Boggs, but Soros is just one of the more powerful officials in the new oligarchy run by the progressives who control our country.
They include:
Billionaire Democrat: Warren Buffet.
Billionaire: George Sorros.
Sergey Brin, Democrat, Billionaire.
Larry Page, Democrat, Billionaire
Charles Koch, Democrat, Billionaire
Kirk Kerkorian, Democrat, Billionaire
Abigail Johnson, Democrat, Billionaire
Ballmer, Steven, Democrat, Billionaire
Wealthiest members of the house and senate 2009
1 Jane Harman (D-Calif)
2 John Kerry (D-Mass)
3 Herb Kohl (D-Wis)
4 Edward M. Kennedy (D-Mass)
5 Jay Rockefeller (D-WVa)
6 Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif)
7 Frank R. Lautenberg (D-NJ)
Why? Is it altruisim or greed? The answer...If the conservatives win, they stay in business, if the socialists win, they stay in business, and control the government. Either way they win. If they support conservatives and lose, they go out of business. |

On November 4, 1994, Nina Totenberg of NPR was on PBS. She said: "If there's justice in this world, Jesse Helms and his grandchildren will get AIDS from a blood transfusion." She was not forced to resign from public broadcast for that ... but she also doesn't do Fox. |
