RIGHT ON !!! If you don't support your local shop you soon won't have a "local shop" where you can get that pesky fin screw or replace that broken harness line to get you back sailing ASAP. Guess I'll chime in here too and say definitely focus on local. It's a total bummer not to have a shop in Berkeley anymore for all those last minute broken parts and missing screws.

Good thing I like to punish myself by sailing Berkeley's dying winds! Very Happy

Actually, yesterday was pretty freakin' sweet. I was kicking myself in the head for stopping at TI and then continuing on to Berkeley at 4:30 yesterday... and then again for rigging 4.7 and 81l and bobbing off the dock to the wind line, but everything worked out pretty well!
