Bard is so predictable. Where's his originality and real substance? Unfortunately, that's a very scant element in his bag of tricks.

You have to admit, that Barney Frank fellow looks MEAN!

Anyone who truly believes in democracy should welcome the emergence of the tea party movement, not ridicule it.

I didn't think of that but I guess you're the expert.

New parties are common and get little respect as a rule. They got famous because they are a Fox darling and Fox sponsored the largest Tea Party meeting, while it pretended to be grassroots, but was actually a GOP PAC
If you object to the minor ridicule shown here, what do you think of the type of signs ridiculing politicians the TPs held up saying
'GET A BRAIN MORANS"
The posters here are not the source of educated peoples opinion of the TPs.
You were right about docs and other professionals attending those meetings.I guess you just hadn't heard back from them on the intellectual level they found there.

Both the dais presenters and the people standing on the lawns at the Tea Party rallies I attended were FAR better informed on the issues than the vast majority of liberals I see here, on TV/radio, and in person. Maybe that's due to the very high number of PhDs here, many from foreign nations and accustomed to paying attention to politics.

Oh, crap! I said "foreign"; in the past, that has made me a racist. (Tip: save yer breath.)

First of all, lets drop the Tea Party rap, they are Republicans, OK?
Secondly, dont tell Karl Rove that, he's got his panties in a wad over this gal in Delaware, even though she had an impressive win over a popular politician.

The tea party folks are being played by varied big moneyed influences with wholly different agendas in the long run. What's so sad and frightening is that the tea partiers don't have a clue what's really going on. The tea party movement is a complete and utter sham to gather the ignorant and hateful and use them to achieve goals that most thoughtful Americans wouldn't even dream of supporting.
