Windsurf sail repair - SoCal - LA/OC

Hi All,

I would like to know if any of you guys knows of any windsurf sail repair shop in Orange County (preferred) or LA County.

I've looked arround and in Newport Beach there are a lot of shops making custom sails for boats. I will call to see if they can repair windsurf sails, but I would like to get some recomendations.

While I can't help you with a local sail repair shop in your area, up here in Santa Barbara I face a similar predicament. Very recently I had three sails in need of repair work, and I shipped them off to Sailworks in Hood River. From past experience having a sail repaired there a few years back while vacationing in the Gorge, I found that they do outstanding work at reasonable pricing, and they are fully capable of repairing most different sail brands (mine were two Windwings and a Hansen). Although the shipping up and back does add a premium of sorts (about $75 for the three sails), you know that you will get a high quality repair.

I've had good experiences with Sailworks as well. Turnaround is very fast. Be sure to use Fedex Ground, as their oversize rules are more lenient (read cheaper) than UPS.

Second that on John Fitz. He's been doing mine for years. You can drop them off at Captain Kirks if that's more convenient. John comes by weekly for pick up and drop off.

John F has done great sail repairs for me too.

John Fitzgerald has repair several sails for me. All have good quality. John kites at Seal Beach/River's End a lot.

T & A Sails in Wilmington repairs windsurfing sails as well as boat sails.
