4 kiters, 2 windsurfers, 1 42ft Coast Guard Surf boat, 1,000 seals and who knows how many White Sharks? Did not see any but I am sure they were not far from us. Did not blow many jibes!!! _________________ www.Clew-View.com

Ron.C, I was out at Pleasant Bay yesterday up in Chatham. I checked out the conditions around 11 A.M. down at the Harwich end and then went up to Strong Island Rd. in Chatham. It was blowing with gusts to 25 m.p.h., foggy and raining cats&dogs when I rigged. Then it calmed down to practically nothing with some quick high wind gusts while I tried to sail. I went out on a sinker and did not get any planing conditions. Once I derigged in disgust, it started blowing again. However the rain also increased and the winds were still terribly gusty. Top that off with stop&go traffic in Hyannis and all the major routes around the Cape and out of it, and you get a pretty lousy day. |

Bayview delivered a great afternoon after some earlier fits and starts. Solid 4.2 from 1:30 onward. About 8 windsurfers and a couple of kiters showed up later. Small waves to play in at times. Persistent light rain but that felt warm compared to the cold, I mean COLD water. Traffic not too bad after 4. |

I pity the fool who could not get a full day of full power sailing yesterday. |

What muscles didn't get pulled on Monday where finished off yesterday, with solid 5.0 conditions.
I hear you Bruce about the traffic. It took my family 3.5 hours to drive to Boston!

Nahant has been great:
8/22: 6.0 with side on waist to shoulder
8/23: 5.2 with logo hi
8/24: 5.2 from King's Bch into NBR. Down the line logo hi + lefts as far in to the Nahant rotary as you dared to go. |
