Looking for place, month long stay in Hatteras

Just got cleared by my doc to resume full activity after recovering from knee surgery for a long 15 months. Looking to make up for lost time with a month long stay. Prefer to rent a place in Avon (or Buxton) as it is central to getting to other spots on the island starting next week June 20th - July 20th. I am a 40 year old teacher. I don't smoke, drink, or do drugs, and don't have a pet. Just looking for a place to relax after making the most of what Hatteras has to offer on the water. Would like to rent an entire house but most places available only want year long leases. Please PM me if you know someone who has a place or room to rent short term or who has space in their rental house for any of the weeks during that time period.

contact ANY of the rental companies for week stays , this is high season ref$$ , IMO the wind is soft is summer there, you may catch a few good days, and for you comming back may be just what the DR ordered.

Hey Ace, If you have a month to take off and sail, and the means to rent on your own, skip Hatteras and head to the Columbia river Gorge for that june-july time frame. The drive cross country will clear your head and you cannot go wrong with wind and weather in june-july. As Warren Miller says, If you don't do it this year, you'll just be another year older if you wait tll next year, nuff said.

Ace- Can't wait to see you!!

The Gorge is pretty cool, for sure, but please don't condemn Hatteras in the summer. June and July are some of my favorite months down here- warm, windy afternoons with sometimes weeks straight of 20+knot SouthWesterlies! Daylight until 8:30 PM... Combine that with a warm ocean and the occasional burst of Tropical long period swell, and, well, you get the idea.... This place can be off the charts Epic in the summer!

But hey, just ask Ace in a month for an impartial review! Very Happy
