I will be in the Philippines in August and Oct this year. Do those months have good wind for windsurfing in Boracay? What is the high season for windsurfing in Boracay?

Hi Jun T,

Our main windy season runs from mid/end of October to mid/end April each year (NE monsoon generated winds).
That being said, if your in the Philippines in August and theres passing low pressures or Typhoons then we get the conditions i titled Habagat on the video so you could keep an eye on the forecasts.(SW winds)
October is our start month so depending on if you going to be here early or late October increases your chances of our season having started or not. If you watch the wind forecasts and the winds are blowin NE or ENE then come on down!
If you can come within our windy season then please contact us and we look forward to meeting you here.

Thanks for the info. I will definetely look you up when I visit Boracay. Where would I check the wind forecast for Boracay? Is there a website or do I check the local paper or weather news?

Hi Jun t,

Windguru has a forecast page for Bulabog beach (amihan winds) or white beach (habagat winds) under the philippines or windfinder has a forecast for boracay island/caticlan in the SE Asia section.
These are probably the easiest to use but there are a few others aswell if you want to be doubly conservative with what the wind will do!
Hope to hear from you soon when your planning on visiting and you can check our website for more info www.reefretreatboracay.com
