Dear Team:

One more question--do I need a weed fin to sail around Avon in May / June?

Last week you needed a weed fin on 75 liter boards in the sound, Could not shake them with small wave fins. Ocean, no problem, JC

I can whole-heartedly recommend a True Ames Surfgrass. Sheds the weeds, yet really retains excellent board speed. For a 75L board, I'd go with a 8.25". I picked one up from Avon Sailhouse. For the record, I have no affliation with True Ames or Avon Sailhouse.

For the record, you should always have a weed fin for the sound on Hatteras Island. The rule, "bring everything" always counts here.

I love my True Ames Blade Weeds.
