Bard—you’re going to have to get your lying rate up to 9 a day to match Trump’s. |

Richland, WA, one of the "TriCities", topped the nation in PhDs per capita for many years. Here is an op-ed letter from one of their eggheads:
Letter: Answer in the ice
February 21, 2018
Greenland Ice Sheet Project 2 drilled a 10,017-footlong ice core representing the past 40,000 years. Analysis of an oxygen isotope was correlated with temperature. All temperatures are in Celsius.
During the last Ice Age event, 10-degree temperature swings during roughly 1,000 year periods were common. Pullback of the ice sheet 12,000 years ago clearly shows a 20-degree rise over a 2,000 year period. The past 10,000 years consist of nothing but temperature swings of 1 degrees to 6 degrees above, and 0 degrees to 6 degrees below present day Greenland temperature.
European Project for Ice Coring in Antarctica also collected and analyzed ice cores. Deuterium was used as temperature proxy without being calibrated to temperature. The Greenland temperature and EPICA deuterium data when graphed look similar. EPICA shows warming started 18,000 years ago, lasting for 7,000 years. The last 10,000 years are the same compressed, essentially continuous, zig-zag line as with Greenland. EPICA data shows a temperature rise, then a CO2 rise correlation, not vice-versa. Real data, not models.
So then, even if the U.S. chopped CO2 emissions in half, probably crashing the economy equally, global CO2 levels would continue to rise.
Where’s the benefit?

And still fall short of Obama's. |

Further to Isobars quote, studies of the Antarctic ocean depths (Max Planck Institute, and other research bodies) have shown that the stratified deep waters (4,000 metres) trapped huge quantities of atmospheric CO2 during the last Ice Age but the stratification began to break down as the temperature rose, releasing it all back into the atmosphere.
Their conclusion is that there is a definite correlation between atmospheric CO2 fluctuations and the stratification or mixing of waters in the Antarctic Ocean depths. Since this is purely a natural process (chicken and egg - caused by atmospheric warming, or warming caused by stratification fluctuations?) WHAT natural process created that vast store of trapped in the depths CO2 in the first place? It certainly wasn't us!
And yes, I'm feeling aggrieved! It's two in the morning and I'm up with a raging sore throat after the coldest February on record in our God forsaken little island, with another month of Siberian sub Arctic conditions to come - straight from bloody Russia!!! (Bah!) |

Come on JP, its been over a year now and you're still bent and jonesing hard on an imaginary President Obama?
You guys need to get a grip and move on. Today, with Donald Trump as president, we arguably have the biggest liar ever in public office, and you guys choose to look the other way. How can you tolerate such dishonesty? |

Just a footnote - after thinking about it.
It's difficult to keep up with and understand all the current research and developments into the last Ice Age, particularly the all important time frame of 1 million years ago (at its height) to just a few thousand years ago.
You need to be an accomplished physicist (not a computer fixated fortune teller) to be able to critically assess much of the research now presented as fact, rather than prediction.
What does appear to be an underlying reality is that Antarctica is the real key, more so than Greenland, to the variation in earth climate regimes, along with the storage in the ocean depths and conversion ( or recycling back into the atmosphere given insufficient time) of 'captured' atmospheric CO2.
There is much still to be explained, but there have certainly, in past geological ages, been far higher atmospheric CO2 concentrations, along with higher temperatures and higher sea levels, which have always gradually subsided. |

Well SW it's like this. When you break the law you must be held accountable, there is no moving on. As for Trump, he won so get over it and move on. How can I tolerate such dishonesty? Hmmmm... "You can keep your healthcare", "you can keep your health plan", "I did not have sex with that woman", "I didn't know that the '[C]' meant classified. You don't have any problem with any of these? |

JP, how about Trump's promise that Mexico is going to pay for the wall? Are you at all pissed about Trump's angling for 25 billion dollars of taxpayers' money for the wall? Or, how about all the promises that Trump was going to fulfill in his first day in office and didn't? So many lies and deceptions. No one even comes close to Donald Trump, and unbelievably, that doesn't seem to bother you at all.
What can I say about your selective disdain heaped on President Obama, Hillary Clinton, or President Clinton? Frankly, it's pretty hard to get all worked up about the kind of fiery hate that you are trying so hard to keep alive. Why do I see disappointment in your future? |

I’ll clear the swamp, you’ll get better health care, I’ll preserve Social Security and Medicare, nobody on my campaign talked to the Russians. Just a few. |
