My tried and true:

"Do you really want me to golf every weekend, or spend all day watching football?"....

Come home REALLY drunk a few nites muttering about "No salt in my veins anymore".....(make sure to pass out on couch, NOT the bed!.....that way the pity/pathetic factor works, and she can't hate you directly)

Or just start learing at the IHOP waitresses directly in front of the missus

Best is to just buy the thing, and tell her that you it's a demo....or hide it at jerry's house?

12/15/09 Scouting Report

Logging off the computer at work to start an afternoon of kid care, and knowing that low tide was at 4, I checked Mike’s Coast Guard Camera. NICE!!

Got in the truck, ½ way to home or ½ way to Nauset; that ol’ familiar thought of WTF convinced me that junior and his 10 year old girlfriend can do another ½ hour of WII unsupervised. Rolling into the parking lot 1 guy was SUP’ing ½ way to the bowl in fantastic glassy conditions. I parked next to a builder, at Liam’s, who drives a gray Toyota and has a pony tail of 55 year old blond hair. I’m sure OC and JE have run across this guy before, he’s one of the hardcore prone surfers. We struck up a great conversation and to top it off he’s another disciple of Doug Haut!

Nice size waves breaking perfectly across the Bowl’s bar, one after the other unmolested!
