Write it, the list, down and send it to the North Pole, Mr. Collins.

He'd probably rather send you, Mr. Swift.

It was 25 to 40 at Duxbury this Halloween. (For once, it was windier than Kalmus.)

I made a silly video of some shots and vids. Enjoy: http://vimeo.com/7377476

to Jerry, Outcast and the rest of the Chatham Crowd:

Please accept my surfing the bowl, on my own - almost to dark, as a slight humble down payment for the remorse I feel for not hitting the waves yesterday like a big boy. Not one wave caught today could have been considered good, but enough OK to qualify as a bona-fide session.

FYI for anyone interested on ocean temps - O'Neill Psycho 2 w/ hood and gloves - hood down about 1/2 way through to cool off.

IMHO Surfing is harder than wavesailing....but less expensive if you break stuff!
(jibing on a wave is easier than jibing in flat water etc)

You should try Coast Guard on a south wind and knee high.

So hot in the 4/3 yest, i just would swim for a while to cool off....water is fine.

Swell looked good early today till it shifted NE wind

We might get some good stuff around mid-week....see you at the bowl maybe Smile

Outcast could be right with the swellcast.
November and we have a system just East of Bermuda.... http://home.comcast.net/~gerjan/Hurricane%20Season.html
Could be sending waves our way mid week with a long period swell.

Light off shore winds Tuesday afternoon could serv up a full meal at the SUPper-bowl. Laughing

It was meant that way. Actually, though, old equipment is just as good as the new if you are using it regularly. This guy told me he was rusty and that was why he had trouble. Given that he was new to the location, had recently bought a vacation house on the cape and probably has been working hard for it, I figure he needed more TOW than newer equipment. Consequently, I only told him that my weight allowed for a larger sail. Besides the new sails only allow for a larger wind range per sail. As to the rugrats, they don't need the candy. Remember, the saying >>make an ugly woman your wife and you will be happy for the rest of your life<< when it comes to prom queens.

Surfing is a popular fad right now, but this new generation has been learning how expensive it is in regards to finding the surf. There's a surf shop in Falmouth, now. The salesmen there think that windsurfing is harder than surfing. I can't see how jibing on a wave can be easier than flat water, but perhaps it has something to do with experience in that I don't sail waves. Perhaps, I'll buy a surfboard in Fla. as they are definitely easier to get through the shore break than a W.S. rig.
