So you're seeking something you can stand on and slog comfortably, maybe in a beam reach but not so easily upwind and not necessarily easy to uphaul, you're probably interested in about 95 liters, +/- 5. It won't slog as easily as a 115, but it will jump and maneuver much better and get you home in extremely light breezes as long as "home" isn't significantly upwind. Sound about right?

i think that is about right (i'm not sure what slog means)
i would need to be able to uphaul, because I cant water start 100% of the time yet, especially if the wind is too low or gusty - and I end up at lake frequently in the summer

I suppose you and we need another piece of information. What's your objective with this "barely floater"? If it's not for jumping, maneuvering, and/or a smoother ride at speed in significant watery terrain, why not stay larger?

i end up sailing in the ocean probably about 5 to 7 times a year. Not much i know but im used to having a more maneuverable board for jibs and waves. I have a big 140 ltr that i use sometimes but i just dont get the maneuverability and "feel" that i get from a smaller board

seeing as how mine just died maybe i would get used to the bigger board, but for now i'm missing the smaller ones.

I've been windsurfing for a long time, I'm just not a techy and not up on the lingo.
