At the last CGWA swap meet I picked up several old gorge boards that had been sitting around gathering dust in the storage trailer. Cleaned them up and mounted on my back fence where I think they look much happier now. Thought I'd share the pic.

Thanks to CGWA for making these available. Cheers!

I'm one of the neighbors on the other side and we love it. If it was boards from an old growth forest we'd all complain to the city.

Most of the boards I purchased from the CGWA folks at the last swap meet. I'd seen these at every swap meet for the last few years and wanted to make sure they didn't end up in a dumpster. Too unique and cool for that! I considered the money well spent as a donation and a tribute to these boards. To be honest they looked pretty ratty before I power washed and shined them up.

The two Hi-Techs were donated by friends. Katie (of CGWA) donated the Windance (thanks again).

I also have an old Gorge Animal (one of Lester's personal boards and later my first gorge board) hanging from the ceiling in my garage - its in pristine condition with very cool graphics so we gave it a special spot.

Behind me is a commercial lot and this only improves the view IMO. Real neighbors have given the thumbs up (hey Jim!) so all good.

I do hope you didn't screw them to the fence and ruin them for use. I don't see any ropes.

Love your fence! Do you need another board? Or two? It is hard to find a good way to part with a board that was alot of fun from "back in the day" that honors that memory and keeps it out of the dumpster. This reminds me of the ski fence on the road up to Stevens where my old Dynastars live now.

No screwing these boards! There's fishing line around each one. They're still river worthy, mostly.
