We have a unofficial punch card. She gets several "no questions" asked days that I don't sail...some of the days are painful some aren't...I don't complain about it and in turn, we've struck a good balance.

I would rejoice that you are with someone who has a healthy addicition. I would ask him to take you to Bonaire, Greece, Cabarete, Barbados, Margarita, Maui, Egypt, Hatteras, The Gorge..ANYWHERE there is wind.....if you love to chill and read and love nature, you will love Hatteras and the Gorge. The Caribbean, well that'a a no brainer..haaa..

yeah I know, almost 10 year zombie. But who doesn't have to face the "you are going again" line eventually.

For laughs I tried "honey, would you rather I do blow and hang out with strippers" which only rated a frown. So went all in and told her it has a 3x purpose-- physical, mental, spiritual --since I rarely make it to church any spiritual activity is encouraged! Swear I saw jesus bobbing on the waves for a second today....oh no sorry just a pair of loons.....

A wise man once put it like this;

'you've got to give a little
take a little
and let your poor hear ache a little...'

No magic bullets, all about compromise.
