Can anyone suggest milestones for learning the Vulcan, ideally with a guess how many attempts are needed to get there? A few such milestones may help to get motivated to start what may be a multi-year learning... |

hey boardsurfr,
That's a great question, and one I was definitely curious about when I undertook the task of doing the Vulcan.
It really varies from person to person regarding things like number of attempts and landmarks.
In my first 250 or so attempts I was hardly sliding, and was never getting around. Getting the jump and getting the nose down just didn't come too easy. When I got to 300 attempts I started having luck getting the nose down, then you begin to feel sliding. For some people, the challenge is just beginning here and it takes a long time to successfully get the handwork and the balance for sliding down.
I don't have it down yet, but I got lucky and have landed a few. We'll see if I get another one someday.
Best of luck! Start as soon as you can! |
