Don't you guys have any deadbeat friends who hang out at the beach all the time and who could just call y'all when it is windy at Leo? I'm qualified, but I live a little far away to perform the job. Smile

Hat mar nehogy valami klinikai kifejezesnel kossek ki, amikor sokkal hatasosabb szavak is leteznek! :)Mikor jartal MO-n utoljara? Amugy sokat valtozott a nyelv. Nagyon sok angol szot kevernek mindenbe.

I noticed on the iwindsurf Leo sensor notes that the Leo sensor is located 80 feet above the water. That can be a problem in many sites, because the wind aloft is often much higher than the wind we encounter on the water as windsurfers. I have found that to be a problem with the Waddell sensor as well. It is located high up on a bluff at a lumber yard downwind from the site. I find that it often reads high. But my friends who kite tell me they find it to be more accurate for them because of the length of their lines. The iwindsurf sensors that are most accurate for windsurfing seem to be those on buoys in sailing zones, such as the Anita buoy at Crissy, and the 2 channel marker buoys off Sherman Island. Prior to when iwindsurf installed a sensor at the Anita buoy, I found the Crissy sensor to be of limited usefulness. I am not sure how you calibrate or adjust a poorly located sensor. Do any of you guys have any suggestions for better locations for the Leo sensor?

Yes, but they have this new "windsurfing Discussion" section and have made the website more interesting. I think they should divert our attention away from the wind and begin a new "Michael Jackson" discussion section. Rolling Eyes

Yes! @ the Bard Stop...a.k.a. the "Bus-Stop". Laughing
You don't mind, SBard, do you? You'd just have to hang out there a lil' longer maybe, while a receiver attached to your mast can catch a reading, which can then be pinged (pung?) back to the tower. Brilliant idea? Mais non? Cool
