Not sure if anyone posted anything regarding Coyote Point access with the Caltran work.
The Peninsula overpass is now open again. Meaning you can exit Poplar if coming from the city or Peninsula if coming from the south bay.
Warning - Weekday traffic at the new multiple stop signs is now horrendous between 4.30 - 6.00 pm. 20 minutes wait at times to get through, traffic backs up all the way over the overpass and all the way back north along airport blvd. The array or stop signs is nuts and drivers waiting at either West, East, South or North stop signs cannot see each other around the barriers, great job for safety!
Out of those hrs it is a breeze now.
Couple of other notes. Local tire repair shop told me that their business has never been better, seems that Caltrans drops a lot of nails unloading pallets, so check your tires regularly. Also if you ride a motorcycle they have been leaving a lot of dirt on the road that is especially hard to see at night as there is little lighting on airport blvd, use caution. |
