|
|
Windoggie's photos reminded me of what amazing beauty we see while in/near/by the water, and when we're lucky, we can even capture those unique moments into a tangible form of medium. (ok, that's copyright talk, but whatever)
My favorite photographer so far is a Hawaiian named Vince Cavataio. Go to Vincecavataio.com. But there are countless others, including some amateurs who post right here on this forum. Let's see some.
Some of Cavataio's to start:

Our very own local beach, County Line on a windless evening. I think I've posted this once before.

Very nice pics. Anything outdoors is good. As I've always said, pretty much all of us were told in the old days by our moms to go outside and play and we all took it too far and based our whole lives on that concept.
I have a quick animal story to tell. I was going to work the other day when I drove by the golf clubhouse near my office which has a nice view of Reno. There was a Coyote poking around amongst all the golfers as if he belonged there-midday. The Coyote didn't seem to care about the golfers all around him and they seemed not to be paying any attention to him. As I turned around to leave I saw something I had not noticed before. On the other side of the practice green on some rocks, were 3 marmots standing bolt up right watching every move the coyote made-they certainly were aware.

My wife took this picture in April of 2007 at Spreckelville. The waves were particularly good and many of the pros were out. This shot is representative of all the activity that day.

Gee, Nealpar, from the title I thought this was going to be pix of you frolicking in/by/near the water ... .
Now I guess I'll have to log on from the other computer and see if I have anything to add.
