Folks - I'm planning to score a double sesh tomorrow at Fogland and Saturday at Horseneck. I don't know if the weather will hold, but let's hope it does. I have a few questions for the Mass sailors: how do I get to the launch at Horseneck, is it at the beach parking lot, or is it by Bridge St?
If anybody is going, let me know... or if you are thinking about other launches, I would like to know too!
OK, I see you on the water,

I can't help with your questions about Horseneck, but I wanted to post that I'm going to try to get down to Pleasure Bay, tomorrow afternoon and also Saturday afternoon. If anyone is thinking of going let me know.

horseneck is a big beach facing south.....there are about 3 "put-ins"
Upwind (west) there is a small road near the inlet that runs to the beach, but parking very sketch (might have to park and walk 200 yrds). I have had good luck there with an outer bar, and it's probably best on the WSW that Sat may bring. You can sail upwind to there from state.....maybe 4 big tacks.....getting off the beach easiest there. Wouldn't sail it in WNW
In the middle is the state beach with a big parking lot, and a 120 yard carry past a locked gate. The wind on the little exit road can funnel thru and you might end up spinning your gear once or twice, but it's straight- foward. The waves there can set up pretty big, and the shorebreak could hurt you. On Monday the bigger sets were well above logo and perfect side off (WNW), but that was a south swell......If you go too far DTL there, you end up in a current zone, but that may not happen if its WSW.
On the east end is where Iggy was Mon. i have never been there, but i think that the launch looked easy....but maybe too onshore if WSW
I have only maybe 8 times there so certainly not "local" knowledge.
Oh yeah, the liquor store is to the left at the second light on the road back post-sesh....that much i DO know Go Go GoogleEarth
Have fun....i'll probably end up moping around Harding's because SOMEBODY won't leave Chatham, and they will try to sail deadmans in a WSW....that scenario has played out before _________________ https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=2&v=zw0MgkO7VXw |

I'll be at Fogland Saturday and Sunday Juan. Looks like good winds both days if that low stalls as predicted. |

It would be an honor to drive you JE. Seriouly.
I find it ironic that now PK is prob out.
I have to work next weekend so life is a cycle of shit.
OTOH.....models now do look more like SW, and it always seems like the timing of these things gets pushed progressively back, so it seems like one of the most important decisions of my life in terms of where to sail will have to wait till this pm or tommorow am _________________ https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=2&v=zw0MgkO7VXw |
