Anybody know where there is wave riding in the Caribean in May? There are lost of places with great flat water but I'm looking for waves not too big now 3 to 4 ft is enough.
Thanks |

Spent 3 weeks. Stayed at Ocean Point Luxury Condo's right at Kite Beach and the point. Excellent wave-sailing just to the west of all the kiters in front of Palacio Atlantico. Also sailed to the right of the point between the point and Nanny's Estates condo's. Waves were anywhere from 2 ft up to mast and a half (big)... Killer place!!! Later, JD |

Silver Sands, Barbadoes. I believe Vela has a concession there too. The airport is 15 minutes away if I remember correctly. The DR is great though, probably less $$$ too. |

Go to Cabatete. Nice waves in May. Typically weak and mushy, perfect for learning. Rent from VELA and stay near their rental shop on the beach (The further upwind towards the point, the better.) The town is a lot of fun, and there is surfing nearby at Encuentro if the wind gets light. Be surf to use a floaty wave board to make it off the beach if the wind is side-off! Have fun! |
