Hey watershots, got any pictures of me? I was there. All-black Superfreak. I wasn't doing any flaka's but it would be cool to have a photo.

The regular Water Treatment Plant crew. Not the Bayside crew. We stay away from the paparazzi, but were out there too on saturday. |

Yep, that's some of the Team Dawg crew: http://www.teamdawg.org
Girl on blue/yellow simmer: Astrid
Green RRD sail doing the shove-it: Sofien
Black and white Hot Sail doing the vulcan: Christian
White and orange KA sail doing the vulcan: Matt (teamdawg.org is his creation)
Eric, if you're on the bay and interested in doing photoshoots, team dawg is a bunch of narcissists and attention mongers _________________ Kevin Kan

You pack your own cameras
Seriously though, what makes you say it's the treatment plant crew?
AFAIK, that gang sails Pt. Isabel rather infrequently. |

I believe koogzah was referring to the water treatment plant at TI. we launch right off their drain pipe

Exactly. I guess you could call yourselves the 13th Street Crew. That sounds a little more gangsta. |

I did speak with the Navy representative, Jim Suillivan, soon after MAC posted above. I attempted to persuade him change the exclusion zone so we could re-access the parking lot (to the west of Building 467(?), the old school), and their contractor could use the smaller parking lot to the east of Building 467 for their turn around/staging area. He was polite and professional, but I did not get the sense he was going to change anything. He also stated that the Navy is going to "remediate" the abandoned lot between the "east" parking lot and the water treatment plant along east side of the island sometime in the future.
I also attempted to get Senator Boxer's office involved. This seem to be the only item that perked Mr. Suillivan's attention. The contact there is Megan Miller (megan_miller@boxer.senate.gov). She was generally unfamiliar with the access issue or that corner of TI. |
Thanks for the info.

That's a bit of a stretch, unless you count the international influence of Team Dawg. |
