hmmm, sorry to spoil ur party but it seemed pretty up and down to me: anything between 12 and 20mph on average... with major lulls and gusts; combined with the fact it was flooding all day it couldn't have been all that great. Let's hope 2day brings what's been promised.

you won't see me out 'til March, but I'm sure Rich and Arnie, along with the usual pack of danglers, will be there to keep you company.

Have fun! Be safe.

One source, watchthewater.org, shows Zuma area at 32-39 knots from the NW. Of course I just got my work clothes on after seeing it switch to more of an incoming storm direction (SSE). Sort of cool out around here too. Temp. in my neighborhood is 43 degrees. The water sounds much warmer. Hmm...time to psyche up or psyche out.

I didn't go there and I didn't say it was great. Just pointed out that there was more wind then Berkeley.

A buddy of mine sailed there, said there was just him and some kiters. The wind seemed stronger the farther north and east you traveled so I stayed in Sacramento and sailed at Washington. If I had the time I would have gone to the Orville afterbay where the wind was even stronger.

Yeah, I was outside and saw the good wind and sun but it is COLD. Can't get motivated to sail in this cold wind for Gusterlies from the West when so cold. Easier when I was a bit younger perhaps in my 30s. But threat of thunderstorms also helps avoid the long drive to hold a carbon lightning rod in the cold water... but I do have a new 4.7 SW Hucker that would be fun on my yellow Real Wind trifin board ... Maybe March!

Hmmmm... maybe the temp should be higher than age to be good motivation! LOL

Not planned, but partaken. OP 4.7 and 74 liters somewhere on the norcal coast. Much warmer water than the bay I'm sure and not too bad with a hood. Bare feet and hands not a problem. For once I saw more windsurfers out at Waddell than kites. How was it Arnie?
