Why are things different today? Can you say "Proposition 13?"

Not Obama, who has raised 2/3 of a TRILLION (campaign $) to sell us on his "change" which has nothing to do with his historical positions in Chicago! Where did all that money come from?

We don't know; he refuses to reveal the source of at least $230,000,000 of it, especially since he promised up through last spring to refuse private donations. And that's 2/3 of a Billion, not Trillion.

I can't believe any educated people short of outright socialists could vote for him, end even then only if they value welfare over the economy, socialized medicine over sound flexible health care, appeasement and naivete over national and global security, further subjugation of personal and business freedoms to ever bigger government, and partisan legislation from the bench over supreme court judges who value the constitution.

I will benefit in the short term from a Pelosi/Reid/Obama -- in that descending order of power despite Reid/Pelosi approval ratings FAR below Bush's -- triumvirate because they will give me money earned by others, but in the longer term that crew will do their damnedest to wreck this country and thus the world. If they manage to obtain 60% majorities, they can give the nation fire-hose socialist and/or Marxist enemas cast in stone for decades to come. "Share the wealth", my ass; how about "share the OPPORTUNITY" by encouraging, rather than punishing, self-reliance? Even Bill Clinton understood that, and Obama admitted to Gibson in the ABC debate that he knows his tax policies will harm the economy but he's going to follow them anyway to “be fair” (read: “spread the wealth”.)

BTW, anybody who resents the use of accurate words to describe a government's behavior ought to consider changing the government's behavior FOR THE BETTER rather than redacting the dictionary, and anybody who has seen what tax increases always do to recessions should be scared $#!+less by Obama's promised tax and spend policies.

I've been subject to socialized medicine for decades (the VA), and its ineptness has signed my death warrant by ignoring clear signs of cancer until my odds of a cure dropped by over 90%, among many other extreme problems with my own VA care. If I didn't also pay for other insurance, I'd be even more screwed. I can't emphasize this enough: You do not want socialized medicine regardless of what color of lipstick the government puts on it. Keep reminding yourselves of these UK and Canadian "achievements", quite possibly coming to a hospital near you under nationalized health care: 17 weeks to see a specialist, no choice which one you see, and rationed care for anyone bean-counters deem too old for expensive procedures. (I outlast 90% of you kids under 50 on windy days, but I'd be rejected under many nationalized health care programs for a new knee because of my age).

And does anyone think a supreme court that favors the use of eminent domain to steal privater land from its rightful owners so a developer can build a mall or condos is acting according to our constitution?

Mike

Just more bent words from isobars. Same old stories and tired nonsense.

"The sky will certainly fall if Obama is elected, but life will be absolutely perfect if McCain and Palin are elected to continue the Bush/Cheney legacy."

Real heady stuff? Yeah, right!

ISO You think the supreme court is Liberal??? Check out the Exxon Valdez decision. They are the best justices oil money could buy.. I sit down over a beer with you next summer and explain what my losses were in the oil spill being a fisherman in Prince William Sound. I think it would amaze you. I also know both sides of the argument and have some insight into why we got screwed (can you spell: our own lawyers)
In this country we don't elect presidents, we rubber stamp those selected to be presidents and if they don't like that they put the one they want in anyway. If you really want to know who runs the world forget this liberal/conservative crap and watch a video that's online for free, it's called "the money Masters" google it and watch, the people running this show aren't politicians..
