I wrote them a inquiry about this. And about 3 weeks later they wrote me back and said that they didn't have a price on the board yet. So why didn't they just say that in the listing . Bad business practice I would say. |

wandrian,
If you are thinking slalom, freeride or formula, you ought to consider a Mike's Lab board handbuilt by Mike Zajicek. In my opinion, nobody builds a more trick current design than Mike. Sometimes the list is long, but it's always worth it. Quite honestly, I personally don't think one can do better in the overall picture. Construction is a beyond comparison, and I'm absolutely certain that others here can vouch for that.
No doubt, I'm sure that LeeD could speak up about this. |

Does not matter, some rich guy will buy it inspite of the price, if someone is willing to pay 50,000 for a german owned peice of shit assembled in Nevada, with a ford made motor, or a British bucket that costs 100,000 plus, has an again, american motor, leaks oil and cost u a semester at UC to repair? gentlemen it's all about da Bling Bling.
Rattan Furniture for example was bought on some street market in a Malaysian slum, but sold to yuppie Mthrfkers at 500% profit margins |

The US based custom board shapers still in business that I am aware of are…
Mike Zajicek, MikesLab
Quatro
Roberts Custom
I sail at the NTower allot, launching from Crissy and see the race/slalom folks on MikesLab boards, he does impeccable work. Also, I got to demo a few custom Quatro’s in Maui this summer and the board ride and quality was excellent. OES Australia makes some nice looking boards but I didn’t have an opportunity to demo one. Anyone have experience with these guys??? |

For high wind boards, there's also Open Ocean custom built by Brian Hinde in the Gorge. Between the Open Ocean and the Mike's Lab boards, I'm totally covered. |

I laugh out loud at good jokes about any politicians of either persuasion. The stupid, incessant, earnest, unsupportable, jabs at either side, however, actually do some harm because so many ignorant yuck-heads of voting age actually believe them. They should go the way of ethnic slurs.

Actually the Humerus is only required if you use your hands for walking....
Otherwise I highly recommend FEMURS ........Humerous not so important! |

Stop showing off Gregor!
I sailed custom boards for 20 years. For the last 3, I've used Star-board and Exocet boards. They are far superior than customs. Furthermore, there are so many shapes and sizes today that you can get exactly what you need.
If you get the pro editions that cost a little more, you'll get lighter, higher performance boards, that are similar to customs.
ps....no waiting for your bro to sober up and shape your new board. One time I waited for 9 months for my new custom to be completed. |
