Last year at this time we had some nasty algae stuff going on. I was led to believe that it was a seasonal thing that occurs in the late summer early fall. Anyone know how the water quality is this season? |

I believe the nasty algae came from a long warm weather spell.
We haven't had that recently.
We've had cold nights for a while so I think you are safe...from the algae.
I can't say the same for all the pollution running down the river.
I've been sailing there for years, and am doing ok...
A buddy just got over a nasty ear infection caused by the river.
He lives there and is in that water a lot.
It's been windy there the last 3 days / evenings |

The algae bloom is alive and well at this time. I went wakeboarding last weekend and it was all over the place. Look for light green particles in the water resembling corn flakes and you will find it for sure. I think (possibly) that what happened last year is that they sampled on a day when it was really prevalent.
I can't remember NOT seeing it at this time of year in the Delta frankly...
Perhaps this would explain my odd behavior? |
