What?! That is like saying "Eliminate the Iliad."
You could close if off to new posts, I suppose. But you can't delete it! it is an essential part of our literary heritage. |

Bump for that comment, great FIRST post for iws.com...
Yes, very, very bad aloha...makes me happy every day I surf/ws at the beach that I do not live south of SLO.
But it is great reading and representative of the unlimited supply of stupid people, posting insane stuff on the internet. Keep it up and carry on.
It is part of what entertains us every day... |

You know Bard, if it wasn't for that recent spat between you and a kiter on another thread, this thread probably wouldn't have surfaced again. The secret to keeping a low key profile on the home front is being more mellow about things, and that includes getting along with our kiting friends. |

I checked with snopes and they say that there's a bit too much aloha in that one.
But seriously, this thread is tattered. |

Really we live in two worlds.
Stuff happens at the beach, especially in the wave scene. Some attitude and bold actions are always in the mix. Surfing Rincon for many many years equipped me quite well in the wave scene.
However, when what happens at the beach hits the headlines, so to speak, that's another world. We all see what happens to movie stars, and others with a high profile in the media.
If there's any news, you want it to be about the nasty rocks, the lack of a decent rigging area, lousy parking, and of course, the terrible weed and kelp problems. |

Of course.
I want to know, WHO is that clueless and classless kook 'riding' in front of everyone else on that ugly drop in?
I hope that was not a chick taking her 'feminine advantage' that most civilized guys would not give her some 'regulation' for that lack of manners, safety and row.
Glad I do not have to surf south of carmel in CA.
You guys down south really have it bad when the herd is on it. |

Understatement of the thread. Let's focus on how awful Leo is with razor sharp rocks in the launch, lots of rocks in the takeoff zone waiting to tear off your fin, CHP licking their lips over all the parking violation tickets they write out every time the wind blows, a massive kelp bed in the take off zone, no wind, no waves and the ONLY reason we sail there is because Arroyo Laguna is 4 hours north and PSC is 8 hours south. |
