| My West Marine radio is prematurely dead. Any suggestions for a good replacement? |

I got one at West Marine that I think is great. (Though thakfully so far I've not tested the radio's ablity to call the Coast Guard) It's made by ICom or ICon (can't remember exactly). It has an external battery pack so the electronics are well sealed and feels stout. It can and should be rinsed with fresh water after each use. I carry it in a little camera bag that I've attached to the back of harness. It was about 160 bucks.
