There have been a lot of posts indicating current speed which is very relevant to whether a sailing site is intermediate or advanced. Is there any link such as to USGS which has the real time data on river speed near any of the sailing sites, and which correlates current speed proximate to a dam measuring station to current speeds resulting at common sailing sites? I would think that the commerical navigation on the river would have such data relatively available.

Then go to environment and I select outflow for Bonneville for 2007 and 2008. Result is that last year it was 250k cubic feet per second and this year it is 410k cfps. Looking at the 2006 data which was also high I see that river flows are back to normal by July 1.
