Any tips for sailing the N/NW around Boston or the cape. What are people thinking?

NOAA forecast shows NNE @19 mph early, dropping to 11 mph around 2PM. Swell is forecast around 2 ft. Nahant will be side off and could be fun.

Sunday's forecast is E 16 mph so P-Bay could be good.

I like Chapin or Mayflower for N or NE, Corporation for NW, but check the tides, Saturday it'll be low at 10:30 AM which means Mayflower is your best bet then. Nahant can be a low wind zone. If it's Northeast, another choice spot is Green Harbor on the Marshfield-Duxbury line, but a little finicky, have had good and bad days there. Chapin or Mayflower have more reliable winds, smaller swell. Another possibility is Pavillion Beach in Ipswitch, you sail out past the southern tip of Plum Island and then you're in some nice shoals off of Cranes Beach, if there's a swell, there is some good wave sailing there, again, be aware of the tide, coz if the wind dies and the tide pushes you out, it could be a long swim. I've always wondered about launching from Plum Island proper. that might work.

Green Harbor - side shore on port tack out, ONLY if there's east to it, otherwise, if it's north, 2 miles south at Blakeman's side to side-off (beach restaurant at Duxbury Beach) no sticker required. Any west to it and head to the Cape, West Falmouth - side-on stb, Chappy - on or Corp's - side-on port.

I've had some frustrating days with west wind at Chappy, pretty much given up on it in that wind direction. It's onshore so I would expect it to be clean but it always seems to have a huge spread, very gusty. Maybe I've just had bad luck. I have found steadier W at some other sites.
