Finally the answer: Let's all windsurf nude. Then we won't be confused with the shark's prey.
| A shark probably doesn't like the taste of rubber. One bite and he'll spit you out and dive to the bottom. You try swimming nude and see if your relatives have anything to put in a grave. Have them post the results here. |

Although the picture is "supposed to be real", do you really believe it?? Where was it taken? The divers aren't wearing hoods and are in thin wetsuits. Also the water is clear. That means tropics. So was whitey in the tropics? Also at that range, I doubt the shark could have stopped swimming in time not to hit them, and sharks swim constantly (except for nurse sharks). So is it real? I severely doubt it.....
But it is a cool picture |

Next- I think I'll put lots of magnets in my wetsuit next time I venture into the ocean (see page 80 of the above scientific american article). |
do not know about magnets but if you want something for real check CETACEA @ 1140 Chess Dr. in Foster City, they sell SharkShields used by Australian Navy and USCG, more info @ sharkshield.com

I saw a dead seal on the sand April 11th at Sunset Beach in OC.
Saw another one wash up at Pismo Beach April 25th.
Saw another one on the beach a couple days ago on April 29th at Sunset Beach.
The one yesterday looked like it had actually been attacked by a shark. Half-eaten bones, really bloody, with holes through it's skin. Previous two looked like possibly victims of pollution or old age. |
