F-ing amazing!!! Almost 50knts, just 0.91knts shy! That's very fast! He must have easily gone over 50knts in the gusts, because this an average speed over a 500mtr course. My fellow country man Martin van Meurs had already posted >50knts by GPS a few weeks ago.

Windsurfers are going to be the first to break the 50knt barrier; kiters may get close, but lack the 25yr of experience.

Though I often don't even drive that fast... hats (blown) off to these salty speed demons.

Just for those who are not schooled on this topic, my understanding is that the 50 knot barrier has been broken "unofficially" via personal GPS (such as your example, Arnie), but has not yet been broken during an official contest. Right?

To near the 50 knot mark, you've seriously got to have balls of steel. For the extra weight, that is.

1 knot = 1 nautical mile/hour = 1.852 km/h = 1.150779 mile (statute)/hour

49.09knots = 56.5 mph = 90.19 kmh

CAN YOU SAY SORE ANKLES......I KNOW HE CAN!
