The trouble people had with the location was that the meter would show wind but by the time you arrived at the beach, it had died. It's easy to get skunked as the winds are quite variable. At one time there was a colony of windsurfers that lived in Nahant. Their winter sailing often made the Boston Globe. In addition, if you are talking about sailing on the Lynn Harbor side of the neck, no one does it. Too busy and shallow at low tide, I suppose. |
