It's looking promising for us down here too, sans the 5-6 hours round trip in the car to get to Jalamalalah.
Where's the emoticon for crossing fingers?

if the wind is anything but ssw jalama is a joke, and the forcast isnt looking too good at all actually. I wouldnt go to Jalama, i would place all of your bets on leo carillo or county line. Its way better there and safer. I saw my good friend get riped into the cliffs and hes a real good kiter, he broke his arm in the up drafts, there has been a lot of up drafts lately for some reason. It is not safe up there... East beach, leo, seal beach, and Ledbetter look like a better call. Another thing about jalama is that they are charging 11 dollars for day use. Pretty lame... See you guys at Leo Carrillo!
Cheers!

Earle, I've just had 2 of the best weekends at Jalama. It has been fantastic with blow dryer 20-25 mph winds and great surf. It is only going to get better!

Well shit! Looks like VAFB has scheduled an Atlas 5 launch for tomorrow afternoon. The park will be closed. Your tax dollars at waste, err, I mean at work developing the total entertainment combat video game.

Earle, don't worry, Jalama won't be overrun with the LA crowd. Very few of us have the leisure time to drive that far during weekdays just to windsurf. [I'll do the drive to go snowboarding, but that's because it'll soon be over in the mountains. ]
No need to be so economical with the truth about Jalama!
