When do the forecasts start? Aren't we all paying for them.
NWS is better than the dynamic.
What's the story. |

I think they usually start in April, but March would be much more reasonable for California. |

I agree. I just sent them this e-mail as it seems a waste of money without actual forecasts. NWS & surfline are much better and free. My e-mail, if you agree please e-mail them. Or at least the other 30 people that still seem to sail the coast:
Can you please get forecasts back up for California. The computer tables are pointless and every other paid site provides forecasts, IE surfline.
It makes sense to not have them November through February, but now is prime time in Central California.
NWS provides better forecasts for free. With present system it it is better to cancel service from October through March.
I look at surfline now for wind forecasts. Weather patterns after mid April become pretty typical and obvious, all you have to do is look at the marine coverage on NWS and where the high sits and the rest is easy. Critical forecasts are March/April/September & October.
Will you change this policy? |
