Whale Sighting on LBI! What's the biggest fish u ever seen?

There was a whale caught on video last summer right on the beach on long beach island. Never seen any around there?!

Personally, I have seen dolphins and occasionally run over those gigantic skates who's fins almost look like big shark dorsal fins. Anybody ever see anything like that out there. Any shark encounters on the jersey shore? I keep hearing a lot of stories but what about the windsurfers out here?
