1028 milibar high will establish itself in the pacific on monday. I don't know where, but if it sits off the central coast or lower we will get sailable winds.

Most likely to far off shore to produce real winds. Clearing season starts in march, so almost there.

Fast moving lows with a strong high behind them produce clearing winds.

The last series of storms were not associated with significant high pressure.

So no wind. Monday could be the day.......but iffy.

No significant swell on the horizon.

No you are thinking of Rob Driscol's house on the beach behind Jack in the Box (he'$ an airline pilot) I live about a half mile up Warner (I'm an aerospace/automotive engineer). Rob's a fixture at Sunset a a really nice guy who I originally met at Punta San Carlos.

Right now its blowing 17 mph out of the SW at Sunset! Go if you can, don't fall in and if you do take a really long shower! It always amazes me that everytime it rains in SoCal we have a major raw sewage spill. Shocked

It's not often we get to gloat about wind in San Diego (:, but on Sunday Sunset Cliffs was side-off,down-the-line and 5.2 - with head-high surf on the sets.

County was a blast on Thursday, Friday and then the best side off port tack with fantastic bowls off of Bombora on Saturday. You could just park the kite and surf the heck out of it. The tight inside was up and down low wind and nailed a few windsurfers that tried to join us. Monday was fantastic though really onshore in the morning. Surf and wind direction got a lot better throughout the day and a few winsurfers joined us. It has been a very good winter for us kite heads with Billy out there with us on some great days. Spring is almost here!! San Felipe blew lots of twenty average and up to 30 a few of the five days we were down with students on the last Santa Anna. Great downwinders in surf if you know where to go. Absolutely windsurfable. All about the forcast. There is more than the Bay there is what most people forget.
