Any sailing at Galveston? or nearby

i've got to head to Baytown,TX on business for a few days. Corpus/Sout Padre looks like a long drive. Is there any sailing or longboard surfing in the Galveston area. I could find some surfshops with rental longboards, but haven't seen too much for sailing? any ideas?

iW has some great local info for Galveston area spots, plus plenty of wind sensors and forecasts. Someone else will need to enlighten us about the location of any local windsurf shop(s).

Sunday's computer forcast is N at 20mph for most of the Galveston and nearby areas. Google didn't turn up any shops in the area, wondering where the local sailors might be that day.

if you can possibly bring your own gear, sounds like that will increase your odds of sailing by about 100%. I guess there really are no windsurf rentals around Galveston any more.
