Based upon my extremely unscientific random sampling of the iWindsurf wind charts from LaVentana it appears that this has been a terrible year for wind. Is this the case? Can anyone from the campground comment? Has it been cloudy? We’ve had a series of SA wind events in SoCal which usually means wind in LaVentana. |

Hey there Sailors,
Esteban of Ventanawindsports here- yes, it has been the lightest wind november/early december i can remember in about 19 years even though october was not bad...still lots of showers and the highs and lows seems to be all misplaced on the meteo maps... the subtropical jet stream seems to be screwiung things up altho the local fishermen are saying when this stops the wind won't which may coincide with the fact that this is a La nina year ( typically better than avg wind) no snow in Tahoe for Nov and storms starting now are another good sign of change...keep your eyes on the IW obs maps but the IW fx for Baja is pretty poor, wait till Mike G starts to fx sometime this month
warm winds
