Back in 1999 I met a Windsurfer from there. Eons ago, I lived just south of there and learned to surf in 1977. The break is great. MB is about in the middle of Long Bay. It allows, with a fair amount of driving, a sailor to seek out an ideal spot to maximize the best sideshore state and a more peeling wave angle. Bring it.

You can use the iW dynamic map for a reference. Just national weather service sensors reporting to iWindsurf in that region at this point [Myrtle Beach, North Myrtle Beach, Sunset Beach...], but it's better than nothing and should give some teaser of what the wind may be doing at the windiest spots along the South Carolina coast:

http://www.iwindsurf.com/windandwhere.iws?regionID=241&Isection=Gmap+Obs

And here's the complete wind archive for the Myrtle Beach sensor: MARCH 2007:

http://www.iwindsurf.com/windandwhere.iws?siteID=1016&archiveMonth=3&archiveYear=2007&archiveSearch=Go&Isection=Wind+Archive&regionID=241&geographicalAreaID=0

...Looks substantial enough that if there are spots that regularly get 5-10MPH more than this NWS sensor...you might get a couple days of sailing. All you're missing now is local knowledge as to exactly where those spots are...
