Looks like some good WNW winds for Friday. I'm thinking of going to Fogland because I don't mind sailing alone there. Anyone going sailing Friday? Another possibility might be Hingham. |

Well, it was lonely at Kalmus last Friday. The winds were up and down, from 10 knots to 30 knots in seconds. If you weren't there you didn't miss much.
Forecast for this Friday looks promising. This time I'm thinking Ninegret. forecast is NW. I haven't tried the bay side of the Cape. |

I hope that at least a few are thankful this holiday for their November sailing experiences.
For me, I'm not!! This has been the worst November on record, 5 f*ing skunks and nothing to show for it.
But I'm still gonna give a go over the holiday.
First up, I'm praying for a noon time session at Kalmus on TXday. My wife will parole me (if cleanup chores are completed) as long as I take her Father with me. Getting him out of her hair is a job well done on any day!
He's likes going w/me. He'll keep himself busy BSing with anyone who's a sucker to talk.
With 15 to 20 out of the South forecasted, I'm hoping to get it done with my biggest gear - 85L F2 w/ 6.0 Retro.
Second, back home at Skaket, Friday at 11:30am. I'm picky about how much water I want to swim in on cold days. 2 hours past high tide should yield a decent 2 hour window without too much of a walk. No issues about being caught out at sea with the wind dead-on-shore.
Paul from Hopkington can vouch for me. He knows the score at my home beach with NW condtions.

With any luck, I'll be hitting Ninigret or Pt Judith this friday as well. Hope to see some folks out there.

Forecast is for cold and windy, NW 20 - 30 at Fogland Saturday. I'll probably be there. |

Hi Oliver,
I'm heading to Fogland too, packing up tonight so I can get there early. I don't have all day, probably just sail for the morning. Maybe I'll see you there. I'll bet it won't be too crowded. |
