I keep the family in the van in case the wind doesn't blow..
My porsche has five weed fins longer than your fin and is turbo charged. How do you get the weed in the fin and smoke it? Some people should just stick with crack pipes...
Trees are moving....Gotta run...Chiao!!! |

I think "EPIC" for today was an overstatement.
Just like the "I sailed in HEAD HIGH waves at Topanga"......... Ahum.
Sort of related to the " I have the biggest fin" comment.
I see a pattern here.

As I posted elsewhere on this forum, the probability of wind is inversely related to my ability to get to the beach. I am sitting in Underwood, Washington looking out at the rain. You should all be at the beach since it is guaranteed to blow. |

@#$^%*&^@#$% Made a call at 3pm to go to a meeting rather than ditching working. Now that the meeting is finished I am regretting it. Too late to get there in time. Please post reports of awesome sailing and greater than head high surf so I can kick myself in the butt. |

It got pretty good later Gregor. The wind that is, as the surf never got over nipple high on your granny. Neil P was out as was Erika and Willy Bilson was rigging when I left. 18 kiters and three windsurfers at County. Wind swell should hopefully build by tomorrow if it keeps up all night. Trees are still shaking well here. Keep the fingers crossed for manyana. |

I have to think that the Malibu rush just vaporized. Too bad, really. What a bummer!
I have to admit that Bacara was solid 5.0, and it powered until to sunset. I hit it about 4 PM, and I had a great session by myself with no other windsurfers or kiters.
Where was everybody else?
Who knows. Most folks just show at the standard sites and just pine for wind. Really, the picture is bigger than most realize. I wonder whether others understand that. |
