I know La Jolla is cramped like the French Riviera....what I meant was the "calm" bay view ......it isn't representative of what Jalama is known for......I guess Gregor's picture kinda shows the "challenging" Jalama shorebreak.

Hey Jim,

Great shot! The ultimate white-out day at Jalama from my view on things, and the waves had to have been enough to put you up there for the tweek.

What's been going on? I hope Aoki got his board not too long ago at C Street, but I'm at a total loss for details.

Hey dude, It owe you. At minimum, some more drinks are in order. Actually, more that that, as you have paid at least twice now. I must respect your ability to hold up you're side of any game with colorful characters.

Curious about the results of your "vacation" to the north.

June of 2005; There were 8 ft faces of a south swell freight trains that just stayed up with the side off nukin winds. I hit it max speed and have never been so high. I was in complete control at the top but bailed as I did not want to break an ankle from that height.

I've been kiting except for this NW channel wind is shutting it off in town. I headed to the J last Wed 5.0 and Eddie on a 4.5. It was very flat but good wind.

I'm hoping the summer is not over for Led's (just got two more kite boards for my quiver) but if this keeps up will have to try and get some of that swell that is coming at the J. Wind is still up today with Small Crafts all the way down the coast.

The trip went reasonably well. I took my kite gear but with the fires there I never even rigged.

No problemo on the drinks, I'm staying in shape in that regard........

Hi Jim,

Aoki did get some great shots that evening. Did you see the ones he shot later on the water at Ledbetter? A light day, but everything's good when you're on the water.

I drove up next to you on Cabrillo Blvd. after your return, and I blasted the horn a couple times, but you were out of it on the phone. I was off to C Street at the time, and things ultimately turned out quite well.

Maybe I should take a roll towards the J this week. If things do shape up, maybe we'll see you there.
