And that bothers so many people why?
Think about it:
• Nobody makes anyone read anyone else's $#!+. That's one advantage this medium has over live bull sessions.
• Young working stiffs have several decades of shred time left; I have about one if I'm lucky. I'll trade places with you, as long as it doesn't mean erasing my slate thus far.
• If this dang place blew more often, as Andrew seems to think it does, I wouldn't be sitting here. Pray for wind.

Doesn't bother me at all. I was only stating a fact. I rather miss the old days of WARDOG vs Isobars.

No worries Mike, I'll be back in town Friday. Wind is coming.

Better hit the road now; it starts tonight, lasts a couple-three days, then fizzles again.

It's so simple.Sail, have a good time on the water and then go home!
If you're such a dull tool, the only thing that you can do is stay at the hatch, then you should. I mean what else is there to do? Only the real LOSERS hang out in parking lots.So have fun there and stay away from all other activites in the gorge!

Good God, I hope the wind picks up again soon!

If you are that bored (Isobans) to find some ancient forum post from 2007 that you need to sit and type out some banter about your chairs in a puddle then I am worried about you!

WTF? You got it right M&M. I'm the original poster and it looks like Isobans was searching the archives and dug up my 3 year old post??? Some crazy sh@t about chairs?

As they say --- asked an answered (3 years ago).

Back then I was advocating being mindful of sailors arriving on swing shift (i.e. after work). Random acts of kindness in parking land....

Still relevant, but here on August 17, 2010 - as the heat wave ends - I logged on to see if the west winds are on the way; if not by dark, tomorrow's wind looks epic! Very Happy

What a surprise to see my post from 2007. Shocked

And as an aside, as I said in my original post - I see no way to "enforce" no extended picnic parking; it just comes down to a hope (or kind suggestion) that on crowded days --- folks totally done sailing could make room for others easier. It ain't rocket science - it's simply being nice Wink

It's funny how things spin out of control. I get what you are saying. Hey RV gang, keep in mind others might need a parking space when you sit there all afternoon. If you really need to sit there, okay. If not, if you have something else to do, make some space. Oh, and give your seat to the pregnant lady while you're at it. Also, remember, women and children first. I'm sure those are all fightin' words. Smile

Without the power of the chair, how else are they going to sail "all" day. They'll be gone in a few weeks. Laughing
