Anyone know where/how to avoid the low tide around Chapin area? I had to walk for 15 minutes with my board back to the beach, while it was windy. Blasphemy!

Go to Mayflower Beach or Bayview, just a quarter mile East of Chapin - much shorter walk.

Mayflower has some walk at low tide but it is much shorter. It's very close to Chapin. You can see the kiters at Chapin from Mayflower, and vica versa. People sometimes do downwinders from one to the other. The waves are similar to Chapin but Mayflower doesn't have that flat section inside like Chapin. That's why the walk is shorter.

I think that Bayview is for locals only, with sticker, in-season. Out of season or on bad days I guess nobody checks. It has pretty much the same conditions as Mayflower.
