Looking at the archived graphs this morning for the Cape yesterday, I can't see how you guys had much of a day sailing. However, it looks like Monday afternoon might have a pretty good SW winds.

I had a great time at Mayflower until about noon when the wind dropped. I was on a 5.7 with 94 liter wave board, playing in the small waves. Someone counted 45 kiters in the air at one time but there were only a few of us windsurfers. I'm hoping to get out Monday afternoon, if I can justify the need to take off for 2 sessions in 1 weekend- maybe Kalmus.

I sailed at Corporation, about 5 sailors and 5 kiters.
I used a 5.2 and 94 liter board, I'm a lightweight
at 145 lbs. Was fun in the small waves, I sailed from
9 till 11. Sounds like it was better at Mayflower.
Hoping for wind tomorrow at WD. I thought I'd be able
to see kiters at Mayflower, but could not, even offshore,
I guess the shoreline topography prevents it.

Sad to say I missed it. At the time I had open, it just didn't look that good from home.

2-1/2 hrs of surfing on the outer beach today was a pretty good consolation. 50+- surfers between areas 1, 2 and 3.

With a high tide in the afternoon tomorrow, I'm planning to stay close to home, it should be side-side-on at Skaket.

Well, I spent Sat. and Sun. working on my beach house and don't regret it. How was the parking at Mayflower and Corporation I'm sure you had to be there close to the crack of dawn. By the way there was a S.W. sea breeze yesterday after 4 out of the Sound. If I wasn't tired from a day of climbing ladders, I might have gone out. Nevertheless, it's rather calm this morning, but the forecasts see winds building with a climax late this afternoon. I hope most people (boaters, kiters, jetskiers, sunbathers) will start back to the cities by then so I have the water to myself.

I was at Mayflower at 8:30. Parking was still very good. It was packed by noon. Today looks great at Kalmus!

It could be a good one in the making.

At 9:15, the wind is already picking up on the outer Cape.

Good luck to All!

If ever in NY, try Plumb Beach in Brooklyn. http://maestrographics.net/bb[/url]

We had a good day yesterday. I talked to a kiter who said he had arrived at Mayflower at 5:45 A.M. Saturday and left the lot before they started passing out parking tickets. It seems that more kiters/windsurfers turn out on the Labor Day weekend than any other.

By "we" you must mean ;windbob , sinbad, cosmicharlie, broadreach, beachdoser, tycoonguy, prljack, swiftsailor - so on and so forth .

Does a "good day" indicate one with or without meds ?
