Does anyone have any pictures from sailing at Sherman last Sunday 8/5? I was unable to make it out there (don't think I would have small enough gear anyway though). I was was drooling over the ridiculous readings on the Sherman sensor all day.
Pics anyone?

I sailed the Sign from 11 to 2pm. I had to rig down twice before I finally wore out. I actually got to use my smallest sail, a 3.4! I've been mind-surfing the swells ever since!

I shot about 2 minutes of video at the sign @5PM just to capture the moment and it did not look like it was flooding even though it was! it was an epic day, huge ramps....I got blown off the water at 4:30 on a 4.0/75 liter kit.....

I wish I did. I got a really crappy photo on my phone but it doesn't convey the "sick" conditions we were all witnessing at The Sign. I got blown off the water around 3:30 after I couldn't hang on to a 4.0 any longer. It seemed like 3.5 was the call and watching Tyson and Whit Poor throwing loops in that much wind was pretty impressive.
I have been sailing there for over 10 years and I have never seen conditions like that on the water. It reminded me of the Gorge.

<smacking head into desk repeatedly>
why did I not change my plans and go sailing?

Well at least you guys got out there for some sailing. My luck totally sucked. Hit the Powerlines with a 3.7/75l combo when it was 35 mph ave. Was overpowered, then it it got stronger so I could barely hang on. I came off and checked the pager, it was 39 mph ave. So I went down to the access (it was low 30's there) and rigged up and went back out. Got completely blown off the water, it was an average of 42 mph! So I went home. Then I looked at the webpage and the insane wind was right when I was out, it backed back to the low 30's about 10 minutes after I left
Oh well, that was the first time I finally got to use that board and sail (bought them for my summer gorge trips).

seems like I always get skunked every time I go to Sherman... not Sunday I was OP on my 4.7 / 77L and I'm 195#, no to mention that I was at powerline 12:30 - 2:00, nowhere close to the winds max, there is no way I could have sailed at 4:00 - 5:00. I've never been to the Gorge but I guess it must have been kinda like it... from the pics I've seen. What a day I chose to go to the delta, I make it there 1-2 times a year...
